And, whether nurtured or spontaneous, it can be released to express a meaningful insight into life and our experience of living. If we catch it at that moment, we might even be able to write it down.<\/p>\n<p>The incident of <em>I met a man today<\/em> occurred in 2013 at Paradise Bakery in Mesa, Arizona. Later that day, it seemed natural to sit down and say what was going on inside of me.<\/p>\n<p><strong>I met a man today<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>I met a man today<br \/>\nHe offered to take our picture<br \/>\nso we could send she and I to friends and family<br \/>\nWith smiling parkas standing beside the palm tree<br \/>\nin the shadows, he was not happy<br \/>\nSo we moved more into the sun<\/p>\n<p>His joy surprised me<br \/>\nThey will like this one, he said<br \/>\nWe shared a few moments<br \/>\nHe seemed in no hurry<br \/>\nWhy are you here Where are you from<br \/>\nI wanted but could not get away<\/p>\n<p>His smile, tilt of head, coming from elsewhere<br \/>\nEnjoy your stay<br \/>\nIt is a beautiful place<br \/>\nHis hand went to his side<br \/>\nI donated a kidney to my wife last year<br \/>\nShe died four days later<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I have never aspired to write poetry.
